Due to their structure, glass-wounded Pt temperature sensors can be applied without a protection in aqueous liquids, solvents and oils. They basically consist of one or two platinum bands, wounded on a glass core and homogeneously fused with a glass sleeve. The connecting wires are connected to the wire coil so that tensile strength is ensured. As a result, this sensor family features a high shock and shake resistance and a high strength against external forces and pressure.
